Please consider nominating a staff member or five for one of the five values mentioned below:
HCPS is pleased to announce the second annual Heart of Henrico Award Program, celebrating employees who exemplify the five core values outlined in our strategic plan, Journey to 2030: Student-Focused, Belonging, Collaboration, Innovation, and Equity.
Award recipients will be honored at a special reception on the evening of Feb. 10 at the Advanced Career Education Center at Hermitage. The nomination window opens Oct. 30 and closes Dec. 14. All full-time employees are eligible for nomination.
Nominations may come from staff, students, families, and community members. The 250-500-word narrative should clearly state why an individual represents the true Heart of Henrico through their dedication, leadership, and values-driven contributions. Submissions should include specific examples of their actions, initiatives, or behaviors that reflect these values in their daily work. Nominators may include personal stories that highlight the nominee’s positive impact on students, colleagues, families, and the community. All submissions will be reviewed and scored by committees of HCPS employees, with final selections determined by these panels.

Due to an influx of various incidents, it is imperative to ensure that your student(s) have an extra set of clothing in their backpacks at all times. This is needed for every student, every grade level, every day.
Our clinic clothing supply is low. If you are in the process of any Fall cleaning and have clothes that your student can no longer wear but they are still in a wearable state, we would love your donation and we thank you in advance.

Students from families who joined the PTA had a blast on Friday afternoon getting the chance to pie Mrs. Anderson in the face! We are so grateful for the tremendous support from our families and staff. In fact, this year we had more staff members join the PTA than ever before, and many of them especially enjoyed seeing the Principal take one for the team!
Haven't joined the PTA yet? There's still time! Your membership helps support student programs, staff appreciation events, family engagement activities, and so much more. Every membership makes a difference, and no volunteer commitment is required to join.
Our administrative team is already preparing for the next PTA membership challenge, and we need your help deciding what it should be! Have a fun idea for the next challenge? We would love to hear your suggestions.
Join the PTA today and help us reach our next membership goal while supporting the students, staff, and families of our school community!
Thank you for helping make our school a great place to learn, grow, and belong.
